PERFECT STRANGERS

Filmska montaža v izvirniku je v predstavi skozi spretno režijo zamenjana z razgibanimi mizanscenami in uprizarjanjem po globinskih planih. Tako je sprva enotna prijateljska druščina razpršena po celotni površini odra, s čimer je poudarjeno ozračje umika, izolacije, frustracije in razočaranja. V ta namen je bil oblikovan odprt, minimalističen prostor s posameznimi ambientalnimi poudarki. Obešene žarnice v ozadju ilustrirajo zvezdnato nebo in ustvarjajo vtis brezmejnega horizonta, velika luna na nebu predstavlja prisotnost nadnaravnega, obenem pa animacija polnjenja lune korespondira z naraščanjem dramske napetosti ter izgubo kontrole dramskih likov nad dogajanjem.

Through a skilful direction of the performance, the film editing of the original is replaced with dynamic mise-en-scènes and the arrangement of different acting areas along the stage’s depth. Thus, the initially united group of friends is scattered around the entire stage area, which emphasises the atmosphere of withdrawal, isolation, frustration and disappointment. For this purpose, an open, minimalist space with individual ambient emphases was designed. The bulbs hanging in the background illustrate a starry sky and create the impression of an infinite horizon, while a big moon in the sky represents the presence of the supernatural, with the animation of the growing moon corresponding to the increasing dramatic tension and the characters losing control over the happening.
